You don't have to be the quickest or safest driver. We know that everyone starts off in a small way, but the main rule applies to everybody regardless of personal skills: If you crash into the opponent in front of you, wait and let him pass. After the race there is enough time to say sorry and have a chat. In order to maintain comfortable personal interaction comply to the following rules: - Keep the headlights switched off except for dawn / night.
- When leaving pitlane, take care that the track is empty.
- If you have crashed and/or spun the car off track, make sure the track is empty before you enter it again.
- Whenever you attempt to set a new hotlap, ensure there is enough distance to the cars in front of and behind you during your outlap. As a consequence (most likely) nobody will handicap you on the timed lap and vice versa.
- If you are not on timed lap, leave the racing line and give other drivers enough room so that they can pass without losing time.
- If you are about to be lapped, let others safely pass at a suitable place. Don't brake on the straights while driving on the racing line as the other drivers cannot predict such unusual behavior.
- Regarding communication please note:
- Activate the in-car-chat and communicate only necessary things during race session (for example: "Accident in first corner"). The chat is really helpful but it should not disturb. Gentleness is welcome.
- Flashing the headlights as a simple means of communication can be useful, too. Depending on the situation you may want to utilize the lights to tell your opponents "I'm waiting", "Please let me lap you ...", "I have recognized you and will let you pass ..." etc.
- Teamspeak is also welcome. It simplifies communication and the exchange of thoughts and ideas.
In a nutshell: Be fair and respectful towards others.
