What it´s all about?

The Bockbierbude is a little privat gameserver for the racing simulation rFactor. It´s completely financed by donations of our members. Our intention is to create a plattform for online-racing, which is suitable for beginners and professionals also. But different from the other both Buden we want to try some special events and cars... We´ll see if it´s possible... The sessions are short, a race won´t last further then 6 laps, so that´s possible to join within few minutes, except for special events.

 Who we are?

By a quirk of the programmer of the "Altbierbude" on GT-Legends, suddenly a second little sister for the rFactor racing game was born. By and by content was flowing in, by now it could be called as little kind of "project". Primarily layman programmers are doing the work now, some of them who should be mentioned at this point:

What do I need to join?

1st: A working rFactor installation (including update v1255) and an online connection :-)

2nd: 'Standalone-Addon-Cars' as driven in the actual server-session

3rd: The used "Addon-Tracks' - same version as on our gameserver

4th: A beer or better two for the run :-)

 Where to find races?

The game servers are listed among others in the official rFactor-online-lobby.  Watch out for something like www1.bockbierbude.de as servername. The exact label you´ll get by using the webpage link "Reporter - LIVE - gameserver..."; On top of these pages the lobbyname is set. Also you can join our server by the rFactor:// shortcuts on the mainpage.

Short Howto?

In section "Reporter - LIVE - gameserver xxx" from menu you´re able to see the actual driven track and cars in actual server session. For a fast pickup you simple need

this unique track and  driven Addon cars (at least the ones in actual session!)

If the track or cars is missing, you´ll get a "... not installed" info, our download section will provide you with the stuff you need. Collect at least all the addon cars and have a look at section "Latest..." each time you´re visiting, further missing tracks you´re able to install bit by bit in further sessions.

Special rules?

No strictly rules, please! Set your own as you´re able to set yourself in real life - we simply want varying and fair races...as much as possible, depending on the drivers' skills
1) Please - always drive gentle, try to avoid collisions whenever possible - There´s nothing more painful in simracing, than hitting the car in front of you! You know: "to finish first you first have to finish". On overtaking wait for the right moment, the race won't be won in first corner...
2) If it happened that you threw someone out, no problem at all. But communicate with each other, say "Sorry", wait him getting on the track again, let him by and try to pass some turns later
3) Finish your race and stay on the server - it´s simply anoying if 10 people start a race with only 3 finishing.
 The supreme friendly behavior of drivers in the lead would be to wait for the others - we like to see that, and it happens more and more on the server...
        Think about: it´s always you, who´s able to show your character even in virtual togetherness
4)  The race is over, when the car is broken. :-)
5) It's not all about simply winning the races but the way you do it. The fun will start, if you meet the same people at the server - again and again. You´ll soon get to know each other, so use an accordant ingame drivername at the site for recognition.
As the server is operated by german people this is the mainly language in chat - but we´ll give our best to pull down all language barriers in communication.

Special Features?

Don´t miss the little gimmicks brought to you by feeding a database with all your driven laps on the server! Each driven bestlap is recorded by car and is displayed at the website. Go and have a look at the "Reporter" section, "(Paddock) - Driverdetails" , "Best Laps" and the constantly running Gameserver - odometer at the bottom of the site will give you an idea, what´s possible right now but even more in near future...
